This past week we have begun to receive pieces from Something Else’s Autumn/ Winter 2012 collection, aptly titled ‘Metamorphosis’. The range is characterized by a luxe and decorative aesthetic, representative of new beginnings.
Each garment conveys a subtle and nuanced maturity, and the evolution of Something Else to something truly next level is delightfully apparent!

Having joined the Something Else design family in 2011, the unique handiwork of visionary Mala Brajkovic is unmistakable.
This winters wardrobe is hewn from a rich and rustic colour palette, plus the occasional vibrant pop tone. Memorable notes include leaf coloured greens, royal and French blues, watermelon pinks, deep russet reds and pollen yellows boldly contrasting against one another.

Metamorphosis’ chic silhouettes strike the delicate balance between feminine shapes and androgynous tailoring. Techniques and clever cuts reign for this innovative winter collection, with layering being key.
Something Else are no strangers to the idea that the devil is indeed in the details, and this range is no exception. Feast your eyes on garments featuring pearl button finishes, laser cut and split binding details, signature experiment with cut outs, and textured crepes.
Albeit a seemingly older and wiser range, Metamorphosis emerges from it’s cocoon remaining faithful to the Something Else design philosophy; classics with a contemporary twist. Assuming this range is a taste of what’s to come, we are so excited by Something Else’s refined direction, and eagerly await future collections.
